LAU GmbH in Hemer has been selling surface protection test equipment for more than 25 years now. Flexibility and reliability allowed a loyal customer base to be acquired and maintained during this time. Thus, the majority of business relationships with both customers and suppliers originate from the beginning of business.
1979, the idea was to build a laboratory trade and, in parallel, to distribute tools for the painting trade for the target group Do-it-yourself (DOI). Under the firm Christina Lau Laboratory Trade began our activities.
It soon became apparent that the young company needed to be placed on a broader basis. In the 1981 years Christina Lau GmbH Hagen-Hohenlimburg was founded. As the market was eagerly demanding a further supplier of paint and paint testing equipment, the supply programme was rapidly extended to include a wide range of physical and optical testing equipment under the term "surface protection testing equipment".
With the increase in business activities 1988, LAU GmbH was converted to surface protection testing equipment and moved from Hagen to Hemer. Another active phase began: new outlets were opened up in the USA and the Far East, especially as wishes from industry remained groundbreaking even at that time.
The latest product can be found in the mobile stone impact tester VAS 5102A, developed according to an idea of Volkswagen AG, Wolfsburg, which is used for the assessment of paint adhesion in bodywork painting.
The success so far is based on long-standing and trusting cooperation with our customers. It will be an incentive for us to continue to be committed in this way in the future, even in times of economic difficulties.
